Green Business Certification Program in Tucson, AZThe City of Tucson's grant-funded Green Business Certification Program worked with local businesses from 2010 to 2013 to help them find ways to operate more sustainably. Green Business Incentives in New York CityThe New York City's Economic Development Corporation has created comprehensive directory of incentives, funding sources, and technical assistance programs that can help green businesses and clean technology companies do business in New York. It includes programs offered at the city, state, and federal levels, organized into three categories: energy efficiency/renewable energy programs and incentives designed to promote green building practices, green technology development, clean energy generation, and the purchase of green vehicles; financing, such as grants and loans; and additional resources, such as programs and services that can assist businesses to obtain capital and secure resources to locate or start up a business. Green Energy Pathway Program at Edison High School, Fresno, CAThe Green Energy Pathway is a three-year program for students at Edison High School in Fresno, CA. The school-within-a-school approach provides a science, technology, engineering and mathematics education that focuses on careers in the fields of energy and the environment. Green Jobs Training Program for the State of CaliforniaThe California Energy Commission (CEC) is collaborating with other public, nonprofit, and private partners across the state to establish a $70 million Clean Energy Workforce Training Program. The goal of this program is to establish a trained workforce that can carry out energy efficiency retrofits throughout the state. The CEC will be working with other State agencies, community colleges, LWIBs, and other nonprofit and private partners to create 49 “one-stop†centers to link people with training and job placement.
